EducationI am currently completing my Ph.D. at Carleton University in History. I hold a Master's Degree from the University of Windsor in History, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Windsor in History and Communications.
ExperienceI have assisted students over the course of my graduate career (four years) in both History-related subject material as well as Communication/English.
I consider myself a people person and pride myself on being empathetic to student's needs and wants. I gain personal satisfaction knowing that I can assist students in achieving their goals.
Over the course of my third and fourth year as an undergraduate student I took a class called Mentorship and Learning. The course provided me with the fundamental skills necessary to effectively tutor first-year undergraduate students and work with them in their transition into the university setting.
HobbiesI enjoy travelling across the United States and Europe. My goal is to explore Asia at some point in the near future. While travelling I have a tendency to shop. This leads me to my second interest--I wouldn't be completely honest if I didn't admit that I harbour a deep love for shopping and material culture.
I find that my grounded interests, along with my extensive education, make me a level-headed and down-to-earth tutor who is ready and able to facilitate a student's education in a relaxed environment.
